Hello. I just joined this tribe. Choronzon is a large part of my life and I was curious about how many others in here are actually dealing with the invasion of choronzon (into ones psyche) regularly in their lives? My girlfriend/lover/best friend of the last 5 years has been possessed by Choronzon, and as a result I have had to deal with him/it through her. This is not to say that I, myself, have not had my fair share of choronzon in my own mind, but I really mean it when I say 'fair share', because I consider the little bit of Choronzon that I have to deal with personally to be a small but fair amount, pretty much normal for most people I would say. But my girlfriend on the other hand has it really rough. Choronzon lays dormant within her most of the time but when he/it decides to attack, it is really really bad and usually results in wounds and bruises on multiple levels of existence. After doing some research, she believes she actually invoked Chronzon at a very early age, about age 7, which is the exact time that she began calling 333 'her number' for no apparent reason. For about 15 years before she even knew what Chronzon was, she has been calling 333 'her special number', and was rather freaked out to learn what it means. Now she is on a path to cross the abyss, to redeem herself as woman perfected, 666. Has anyone else in here had to deal with such intensities of 333?

Re: Choronzon a large part of my life
Fri, February 3, 2006 - 4:58 AMHello Geomana,
I am a self-ordained high priestess of CHORONZON (Note: Since I work with a music project of that name I use all capital letters when referring to the Entity - or else things get really confusing) and can tell you more about this entity than just about anyone you will ever meet as I have been ally to it/him and vice-versa since 1985.
There's simply a lot of misconceived notions about the name, concept, and Current associated with 333. Joel Biroco explained it best in the final issue of KAOS magazine, which if you would like, I will send you a link to a copy - I can't post it here because there's a search engine devoted to PDF files that digs it up and Joel got upset that they snarf up documents and offer them to people with no credit to the author which is pretty lame...but I will be happy to email you a link to it as I have it on my server (choronzon.org).
Biroco noted that the origin of the name was John Dee but it was made more well-known by Aleister Crowley. Crowley had a fanatical phobia of "dispersion" and the loss of "male" magickal energy (I say 'convex' instead--it gets at the point --no pun intended! - without conveying the false notion that only men have 'male' energy and only women have "female" powers - which I refer to as 'concave').
John Dee did not spell this entity's name the same way Aleister Crowley did. His spelling was "CORONZOM". It's very clearly shown in the diary at the British Museum. Crowley changed the spelling to CHORONZON to jigger the gematria to match that of the Greek word for dispersion - AKOLASIA. Gematria is a vexing occult system in which numbers and letters substitute for one another; I do not put much stock in it, personally, but I also am not deeply into qabalistic magick, so it may be that my knowledge about it is simply not enough to understand its full significance.
Significance, though, is usually something that shows up where we put it, or expect to see it. The trouble with Crowley's writings is that he did what all human beings do: maligned something out of fear of it. In turn, the maligned thing, in this case, chaos, was made into a demon. This has had the unfortunate result of people all over confusing CHORONZON with Satan or any number of other similar "demons".
Peter J. Carroll, credited with introducing the occulture to 'chaos magick' (though I'd been VERY similar things before ever hearing or reading Liber Kaos or any of his other books and calling it 'chaosism', which was part of my introduction to CHORONZON) has said more than once "A 'demon' is merely a god acting out of turn". The more afraid of chaos one is, the more likely that person is going to be troubled or haunted by xenodimensional manifestation of it. CHORONZON is a xenodimensional whose 'bailiwick' is a certain sort of DE (disorder/chaos) force; both it and CON (order/control) are necessary for health, or for life to exist at all, for that matter.
If one accepts a belief in xenodimensionals - call them angels, demons, spirits, or whatever - there are both helpful and harmful aspects of mental chaos and lack of focus. On the one hand it can hamper one's work or life processes to have confusion of thought, disorder of process in the mind and body. But on the other hand, take away too much DE and an imbalance of CON would leave a person beyond 'anal retentive' and truly unable to relax, daydream or let go of a troubling or annoying pattern of thinking. Without chaos we lose the spontaneity, randomness factor which gives us new genetic combinations/mutations...which gives us the joys of surprise and adventure. Pure order or pure chaos cannot exist - and to see that a relative 'balance between balance and imbalance' is maintained, a sort of flux in and out of extremities, the xenodimensionals were born, or created, or called up, depending on your religion or cosmography.
CHORONZON is "the son of chaos" or DE. I have an obviously atypical relationship with him (actually It, but since I am female and tend to be attracted to males that's how CHORONZON manifests to me. In the earlier years of my life he was frequently my 'astral partner' so to speak, an incubus that I grew more and more fascinated with.
In The Vision and the Voice Crowley's infamous Tenth Aethyr invokation is described. He and his friend Victor Neuberg travelled to the Sahara desert and did work with Enochian magick. It's reputedly based on the lingo of angels. John Dee outlined thirty levels of being which are called Aethyrs. Crowley believed the Tenth Aethyr, ZAX, to be an Abyss between the ego and that which is beyond Self. It was his experience that some malignant force would have to be fought down to get onto the higher planes and that it represented the Self's struggle to maintain cohesion in the face of disexistance--and the higher esoteric states of consciousness do indeed show you a divine matrix of meta-information that it's impossible to see with too much concern for one's ego cluttering the mind.
Fear does weird things to the mind that are very countrproductive and Crowley and Neuberg were both very hostile to this entity - they called it up and commanded it to divulge "the cry of the aethyr" and remain within the triangle drawn in the sand. Neuberg (called "the scribe") took notes as Crowley invoked CHORONZON. In the ritual Neuberg berated the entity as it began to manifest, calling it weak, ineffectual, unable to do anything. The voice of the demon - it is generally assumed to have been Aleister himself speaking for it, though no one knows how deep the psychotropic state at the time and if there were drugs or hallucinations doing the speaking - is alternately sad and angry and deeply resentful that it has no form, and yet is 'master of Form'.
Which brings me to why I love CHORONZON and why CHORONZON attached himself to me, and why it has brought me happiness, strength and deep mage-work and not inner turmoil; indeed, were it not for CHORONZON sometimes I'd feel exactly the sort of messed-upness that one possessed by him is supposed to encounter. Because I have never been one to fear chaos very much--it's order that unnerves me more, in excess--CHORONZON was delighted to have manifestation. I game myself to him freely and in return he did the same. I could fill volumes with the stories of events and incidents in which my friend has either enlightened me or warned me of danger which was subsequently avoided.
I would advise you and your mate to do the following.
Draw or construct a triptrigramme--three triangles joined at the centre--and place it in a sacred location comfortable to you. Create a space for CHORONZON to manifest outside of you. Surround yourself with meaningful objects as per your (and her) particular practice of magework or religion, positive associations connected to chaos or spontaneity will work best but the important thing is to be in a state with as little fear as possible.
CHORONZON does NOT want to destroy you. Without knowing you I cannot be clear about the situation - it may be another entity posing as the lord of Chaos or it may be a projection from your and/or her past. You mentioned something in her childhood. Remember the number 333 was artificially imposed upon him so it's only "his number" because culture has caused it to be so.
It may also be that CHORONZON feels there is something particularly worthy of his attention in one or both of you but is manifesting frustration because of your negative thoughts and fears. Xenodimensionals aren't human beings so it is sometimes problematic to expect human behaviour from them. They're aliens from Planet Earth, here long before we were, but to one not used to their doings they can be unnerving. My experience is that CHORONZON has two primary "personas" - a very powerful being with the important role of preserving flexibility, and fighting excess control and over-orderedness, both the inner and outer universes. There's also a childlike self that I have seen as his expression of frustration at the distance he must have from the forms arising from his 'home' on the edge of creation and/or the edge of consciousness (I flip from objectiveness to subjectiveness back and forth - the internal projected as external, or the external seen as mirrored by our internal minds...it matters not, I cover them both.) If a "possessed" person acts out in tantrums it could be the frustrated CHORONZON is merely trying to communicate with you and failing sadly, becoming more and more upset with all the unfriendliness this behaviour will likely engender.
So what you want to do is simple. Announce to him/it that you did not understand what was happening, that you like many living things was afraid of what you could not control within yourself. Breathe deeply and slowly. Meditate on the positive aspects of chaos and dispersion. Without the wind, the flower's seeds would not be carried off to fertile soil. The nature of fire and water is chaotic, and though either of these things is capable of causing death, both are of immense use to us and we cannot live at all without water.
At this point you may feel a manifestation. It might not be anything dramatic. I would predict whatever trouble CHORONZON was causing you will cease and you may feel peace and relaxation. If he speaks to you remember he is a xenodimensional and as such may say things in confusing ways - or even complete gibberish may ensue. Over time I learned that the phrase "Astika aunqua", which was oft repeated, means "Now Then". For a long time I was puzzled and intrigued by this. One day while in a deep trance with my ally it was made clear that the context was not a reference to Present and Past at all, but simply a mimicry of a phrase people often say when they're ready to begin doing something or "getting around to business" after a spell of idle chit-chat!
I laughed and laughed. And THIS is CHORONZON's greatest gift to one who befriends him. He has an absolutely amazing, twisty, oddball sense of humour and loves nothing more than laughter. It has been said CHORONZON has a brother named Nexhagus whose demesne is laughter...I've never met him, though--I think it's just CHORONZON's other side, the side people have been accidentally trained to never see or feel or understand because of one nutty Victorian occultist's chaos phobia. As I help him along, it seems he's even developing a sense of humour about that whole absurd error at last, and has a message for all magick practitioners: and that is, Please don't fear me, for fearing me is only fearing the loss of your self. Conquer the fear, but please don't fight me, as I am not the fear but the way around the fear, and I will help you - as long as you aren't one of the minions of over-control." To be a minion of overcontrol, one would have to have a sadistic urge to impose order where it is not welcome, impose it upon the minds and lives of others.
If you think you fit this category - somehow, I doubt you do, from your writing - CHORONZON might not be as friendly to you. You'd have to be pretty extreme about it to incur true wrath--and he is capable of this. When tyrannical empires fall into disorder it is CHORONZON at the center of it all, and that's where his wrath points.
As Hagbard Celine said in Illuminatus! (a very funny and definitely chaotic story) "Imposition of Order = Escalation of Chaos".
We'd all be in a terrible bind without CHORONZON to make that escalation happen!
I hope this helps you. It pains me to see my ally causing anybody suffering--whether or not it's really CHORONZON doing it, or the cultural caricature that is perceived in his name. (He calls that image the "Boo Demon Suit" and he's pretty annoyed with having so many folks clothe him in it. (It's too tight and restrictive, for such an expansive being!) Feel free to write if you've any questions or want to tell me about your experiences.
In the meantime I have interceded for you and asked CHORONZON to please, as a favour to me, leave you both alone until you actively seek audience with him. I do not command him nor he I, but rapport is so good that he has never failed such requests before. If you continue to be harassed look into the possibility that a more mischievous xenodimensional has taken up residence with the express purpose of giving you crap. I can probably help with that as well but this post is already far, far too long.
In Chaos, the one truly eternal thing in the Universe,
which will exist beyond all else

Re: Choronzon a large part of my life
Mon, April 2, 2007 - 9:07 AMit's certainly possible
if she's got it stuck in her head, then there's likely some dissonance between her conscious self and the next level of her higher self. was there some Event near the time when she possibly invoked him that could have produced this dissonance? it would most likely be something that would cause her to hold on to and try to ossify her ego-consciousness (that's a clumsy term but i don't want to fill this up with jargon) - something that would make her terrified of letting herself go
if i'm right, there would be Symptoms. some of the stuff you mentioned sounds about right - i'd also expect difficulty with orgasm and extreme, probably negative reactions to even small amounts of intoxicants. -

Re: Choronzon a large part of my life
Wed, April 4, 2007 - 12:41 PMwell, i dunno - i'm not the person who went through it. it was a woman i was dating a few years ago. it sure does SOUND familiar, but i'm just some chick on the internet who doesn't even know five percent of the story
as far as acid goes, i've found that given the right set, setting and intent it can really blast you along in terms of digging stuff out that needs digging up. the only thing is that you can't rely on Just Acid, pretty much like you can't rely on Just Magick, for example. i used to use really high doses of hallucinogens to shake all that garbage that was in my head to the surface so i could give it a good look and see what was worth keeping, but these days i use it rarely and just to "check my work," as it were

Re: Choronzon a large part of my life
Sat, June 16, 2007 - 4:13 AMHello Geomana,
I just joined too. Choronzon is a recent demon, focusing on TIME, right? I read about this in the Liber Null and Psychonaut book awhile back. I've read your post and I'll tell you what I think. It sounds like your girl is disappointed life isn't mystical. Carbon emissions in the ether should explain this. It seems like to get out of it would be to quit stimulants. This will help calm things so walking to one's favorite rock will seem special as it should again. Go way back to the stuff one left behind because it got embarrassing or hard to negotiate emotionally. -

Tue, June 26, 2007 - 12:56 AMyou know I just joined this chat and I know it has been dead for sometime but I just had to drop a thought in.I have heard alote of people talking about chaos theory but it has been erased from the occult studies for sometime now.I can say what I have seen in my life is not and I repeat is not mind created by the practicing magician. Some things might be But I have seen some things with calling forces into a ritual chamber to the extent of the walls looking like they sway because what you call ingulfs the room and no I didn't do any mind alterating drugs either some people call this a GBM working GREATER BLACK MAGICK working and by what I have seen its more than you can understand and while you chaos magicians are blind theres something else going on behind you. These forces love to keep you blind the more you can't see the less you know or think you know they love to play games with your mind and when you give in you become trapped in the abyss witch is confussion
only those who hold up the flame and look into its light will truly see it for what it is. -

Wed, June 27, 2007 - 10:54 AMnice pic thats how I feel about life lol.Mr crowley's interpretation love under law huh and yes for the beginner the abyss can confuse some but for us it only opens an experience we hold as the dark night of the soul or walking the abyss to understand the unexplainable.Crowley only touched the abyss and looked what happened to him it made him delusionable .I never followed crowley didn't like him much with his druged up philosophy.
