What else do you know of this Tamlak?
Is it possible that Tamlak could come come from Hindu mythology via Tamluk?
Seems to be a lot of weird multi-eyed dancing demons in Hindu mythological art from what I have seen.
Do you know what part of the world the concept of Tamlak originated?

Mon, October 19, 2009 - 1:47 PMI have no idea. I'm not sure it's a 'real'. It just keeps appearing in my dreams, and in other weird oblique circumstances. -

Re: Tamlak
Mon, October 19, 2009 - 6:30 PMI had a dream once that included a divine force visiting me. The divine force presented me with archetypal concepts and I awoke with the word MINISIS in my mind and on my lips. I searched every where to find MINISIS and came up blank. Shortly there after I stumbled upon the archetypal concepts that I was presented with in Egyptian mythology by combining aspects of the god MIN and the goddess ISIS.
My thoughts are this:
1. right down every word that comes into your mind when you say TALMAK.
2. draw rough sketches of TALMAK until you have a good representation of what you have seen
2.5 write down every variation and mutation of TALMAK that comes to mind
3. say a prayer, make an offering to the concept of ORACLE then consult the all mighty literal oracle called GOOGLE
4. compare your collection of words to archetypal symbols and concepts
4.5 compare your variations and mutations of TALMAK to the world's collection of words
5. compare your sketches to mythical symbols, mythical art, ect.
6. if the answer doesn't find you through GOOGLE then dig deep and start going through books
7. Do not give up until you are satisfied with either finding TALMAK or finding some thing else that TALMAK is guiding you to.
Good Luck! -

Fri, October 23, 2009 - 12:22 PMThank you. I think you're probably right; it will take some fishing. It's been going on for over two years now, so I suppose the "wait and see" portion of the research is probably best done with....
UPG FTW
Initially I semi-consciously rejected the idea of a Hindu deity / avatar, because of (I now think) simple prejudiced filters from the Nepalese / Indian artwork and the expectation for those beings to be rimmed with gold and ornamented to the nines. Probably better for me would be to relax / release all those sorts of expectations and just follow whatever threads turn up...
